Career Technical Education (CTE) Home

All students must take 2 CTE classes in the same pathway to earn a diploma. 

 

For students who want to dive deep into a particular field, s/he can take 2 CTE classes in the same pathway followed by a 3rd class taken in the 12th grade called Senior Seminar.

 

All CTE Senior Seminar classes require a 36-hour internship which provides students with supervised practical work experience. Senior Seminar students must also complete an extensive research project which is presented both orally and in writing. Students also develop a portfolio which will help them organize and present a collection of their work for the purpose of assessment as well as for presentation to prospective employers.
