About RHS
Rowland High School opened its doors for the first time in 1964. We are a California Distinguished School, a Gold Ribbon School, and a National Blue Ribbon School.
Academics
We offer IB (International Baccalaureate), AP (Advanced Placement), and AVID (Achievement via Individual Determination) for college bound students.

2. CAR Hours

Grad Requirement #2- Complete 60 CAR Hours

CAR stands for Community Activity Requirement. In other words, community service.

RUSD requires all high school students to complete 60 CAR hours in order to earn a diploma. One way students can earn CAR hours is by volunteering in their neighborhood community. Students can record their hours on the CAR Hour log sheet below.

If students aren't involved in their neighborhood community, then they can be involved in our school community. CAR hours may be earned through participation in out-of-class activities such as performances, athletic events, clubs, and competitions.
