2026 SkillsUSA Regional and State Championship Highlights
Rowland High School SkillsUSA had a historic 2026 season, with students earning medals at both the regional and state level while continuing to build one of the strongest Career Technical Education competition programs in the region.
This year’s results highlight the continued success of Rowland students in engineering, architecture, robotics, additive manufacturing, technical design, and student leadership. Rowland High School also earned SkillsUSA Chapter of Excellence Gold Status for the first time in school history, marking a major milestone for the program.

Mobile Robotic Technology Makes School History
For the first time in Rowland High School history, SkillsUSA Mobile Robotic Technology swept the regional podium, earning gold, silver, and bronze in the same event.

Regional Qualifiers Advance to State
In addition to Rowland’s regional medalists, several students qualified to advance to the SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Conference through strong regional performances. These students represented Rowland High School in engineering, architecture, design, technical skills, and leadership-based competitive events.

For the first time in school history, Rowland High School SkillsUSA earned Chapter of Excellence Gold Status.
This recognition represents more than competition results. It reflects the chapter’s commitment to student leadership, community engagement, chapter involvement, career technical education, and the continued development of a strong SkillsUSA program at Rowland High School.
Bronze Medal: Architectural Design
Edwin Garcia Monforte
Edwin Garcia Monforte earned the Bronze Medal in Architectural Design at the SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Conference. His achievement continued Rowland High School’s proud tradition of excellence in architecture and design competitions.

Brandin Levario
Returning veteran Brandin Levario earned the Bronze Medal in Technical Design. His success reflects strong technical precision, design communication, and continued dedication to the design process.
Bronze Medal: Additive Manufacturing
Christian Castillo and Nicholas Leong
Christian Castillo and Nicholas Leong earned the Bronze Medal in Additive Manufacturing, continuing Rowland High School’s success in 3D printing, digital design, and advanced manufacturing. Christian competed as a veteran senior, while Nicholas competed as a junior newcomer. Together, they represented the continued growth of Rowland’s manufacturing and engineering pathway.

State Officer Leadership
Rowland High School is proud to recognize Wan Ling Lin, who completed her term as a SkillsUSA State Officer this year. Wan Ling has represented Rowland High School with professionalism, leadership, and dedication at the state level.
Her service continues a growing tradition of Rowland students taking on leadership roles beyond the local chapter and representing the school at the state level.
SkillsUSA Student Leadership Support
Rowland High School also recognizes Counselor Candace Orozco for her support of SkillsUSA student leadership through her role as a SkillsUSA Student Leadership Trainer Assistant.
Her involvement helped support student growth, leadership development, and the broader success of the SkillsUSA program.
