CLASS CONTENT
The subject matter of the Intermediate Theatre class takes students to a more sophisticated level of communication, refining skills students acquired in Beginning Theatre.
The class is:
Project Based – students will read, write, discuss, and perform or present a project in every unit.
designed for pairs or small groups.
Linked to Production – students are required to participate in one production.  The scope of their involvement will be worked out on an individual basis.  Students must at least attend and evaluate the other production.
Service Oriented – students will participate in class created projects/performances to bring to school and/or community organizations.  Students will participate in both DRAMA-THONs on September  and January .
The final project in the class is the Theatre Showcase on May . All students will be a part of the production as an actor and a technician. This is the only after school requirement for the class.
 
OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES
Students may participate in the following activities after school for extra credit and to acquire CAR hours:
Comedy Sportz
Drama Club
The amount of extra credit and process to receive it depends on the student’s choice of how to be involved.  A list of dates for these activities is available from the department.
