On Monday, Oct. 7, students will take a quiz over the various forms of words associated with Ben Franklin's 13 virtues. They will identify the adjective, adverb, and verb forms of the virtues (nouns).
Also on Monday, students will have reduced "All I Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten" from 300 words to 60 words. This is an excellent exercise in summarizing and paraphrasing.
Students will work with a partner and be prepared on Tuesday, Oct. 8, to present in class an assigned Ben Franklin aphorism. They will explain the meaning of the aphorism and give two examples.
