Find a famous speech (in English, not translated) from history (3 you cannot use: Martin Luther King Jr's "I Have a Dream" Speech, FDR's "4 Freedoms" Speech, or JFK's Inaugural Address). The link provided here will give you some options to choose from, or you can find another. Analyze its language, literary devices (i.e. parallelism, antithesis, metaphor, etc.) and modes of rhetoric (Logos, Pathos, Ethos, Kairos). On your document tell me what speech you are doing. Pull quotes/passages from the speech as you analyze it. This is not a formal essay, but should have some organization and clarity to it. Work on this the days I am out and for homework.
