Grade Categories:
Mile Run – 25%
- Students will complete a timed mile run every Friday. If absent, students will need to make up their mile during make up week. See grading scale above.
Lap Days – 25%
- Every Tuesday students are to complete six laps during the duration of the class. If absent, students will need to make up their laps during make up week. See grading scale above.
Sports Activity – 25%
- Students will be graded on their effort and participation for each sports activity. If a student decides not to participate in the day’s activity, they will lose -3 points per day of non-participation.
Daily Record – 25%
- If you are properly dressing out, on time, and participating daily, you will earn an “A” for this part of your grade. Loaners available Mondays and no points will be deducted for using loaners. Limit of 3 loaners per semester.
Students are awarded 25 points each quarter for Daily Record.
Deductions will occur for the following:
*Non-Suit -5 points
*Electronic device (non-run days) -3 points
*Lack of effort/Non-participation -3 points
*Poor Sportsmanship/Attitude -3 points
*Class cut -10 points
If a student misses an assignment for any reason (absence, parent note, medical note, etc.) they are required to make up the missing work. It is your child’s responsibility to ask about missing work.
