What is a AVID Cross-Age Tutor?
AVID Cross-Age Tutors consists of 11th and 12th grade students who have shown success both in and out of their classrooms. AVID Cross-Age Tutors go through the AVID Tutor Certification as part of their training. They will have a period designated to tutor students of AVID as part of their regular school day.

What is a AVID Tutor?
AVID Tutors are fulltime college students who have shown leadership and success within their lives. They go through the AVID Tutor Certification can apply for a paid position as an AVID Tutor. An AVID Tutor is a key component to the AVID system.
They are able to guide and support AVID students by using their knowledge and experience to ensure the students are learning throughout their educational journey. Trained AVID tutors are an added resource and role model for the AVID students.
