Welcome to the 2025-2026 School Year

Welcome to my page. My name is Michael Vasquez, and I am extremely grateful to be an Educational Specialist for our Extensive Support Needs (ESN) program at Rowland High School. This is my 16th year teaching and 11th at Rowland High. My family of 4 includes my daughter, Peyton, Rowland Class of 2023 Alumnus, and twin 5-year-old sons Nicholas and Robert (Ybarra Bears).

I currently teach the following courses: Alternate U.S. Government & Economics, PE 9 & 10, Fundamentals of English 9 & 10, Alternate Life Science, Alternate Physical Science, and the Fundamentals of Math 9 & 10. The goal of the ESN program is to support our students through their high school experience. Students will work towards an Alternate Pathway Diploma established by the academic standards of the state of California in the areas of core academics, functional daily living skills, communication, career awareness, and social-emotional needs. Students will be challenged by a curriculum founded on rigor, relevance, and relationships. All students will be supported to grow as Thinkers, Contributors, and Communicators during their four-year journey at Rowland High School.
