After several months of hard work and long hours, our Raider ProStart team won 2nd place in their state competition in Sacramento this weekend. Daniella De La Fuente, Vanessa Gorgonia, Abigail Peranil, Bianca Pombal and Adam Samo won a combine total of $10,000-$20,000 in scholarship money depending on where they will attend college next year!
Rowland competed in the Restaurant Management event, developed a comprehensive business plan and presented to a panel of judges as "potential investors" for their restaurant. Judges were from companies such as Coca-Cola, BJ's, Sysco, and Johnny Rockets, just to name a few. There were 17 other schools throughout the state that competed. Rowland's restaurant concept this year was a pork themed sports restaurant named The Pigskin.
