Students reviewed the Weaknesses of the Articles of Confederation and the purpose of establishing a new government. Concepts covered were the need for a strong central government that had powers such as taxing and raising the military , at the same time protecting and providing our natural rights. When creating the new government he ideas of separation of powers, checks and balance and representative democracy were key essentials to the new government.
