As we venture into the world of where babies come from, please COPY/PASTE the 2 questions and ANSWER them to the best of your ability:

Please read page 158 - Careers with children - Toy Designer.
On a NEW DOCUMENT... answer the following questions: (COPY/PASTE works best)
1) Have you ever thought about who came up with the ideas for the toys you played with as a child?
2) Have you or your friends ever came up with a toy or game on your own? Explain.
3) Toy designers need knowledge of child development so they can create toys that children will want to use. WHY else might a toy designer need to know child development?
4) LIST specific correlations between academic subjects and the kinds of SKILLS a toy designer need (as in things they would put on their RESUME)

For the second part of your "exam" please create a SLIDESHOW that shows 2 top NEW games over the PAST 2 years... YOU CHOOSE.
1) ONE slide per game with a TITLE of the game and PICTURE of the game
2) Give a brief description of what it is about/how does one win?

The following list is the 5 major categories you and your group members will have to research for your classwork. You will be put into a group of 4-5 people and check in with your group in a breakout room during our morning classes.
Each group member will CHOOSE a section to RESEARCH and work on their OWN slideshow and cost sheet. The group is there for questions and any help. Once the group is finished with their own section, the group will create ONE slideshow with EVERYONE’S responsibility.

At the same time you find your ACTUAL items- copy/paste the PHOTOS/PICTURES of them onto a GOOGLE SLIDE SHOW.

Attitudes about pregnancy and pregnant women have changed over the years. Pregnant women were treated differently in the past. Conduct research to find out how pregnancy was viewed in the USA in the 1950's. Include print or online resources.

Create a DOCUMENT or SLIDE SHOW to show your findings:

After you collected and hand wrote you NOTES from Chp 2.1, please take a PHOTO of your section on PARENTING RESPONSIBILITIES... it can be one or two uploaded photos.

Take the word PARENTHOOD and write it done VERTICAL on a piece of paper. Use COLOR and a RULER (or fold paper) to keep words in their zone.
Using TRAITS and CHARACTERISTICS and other words that describe what it's like to be a parent by searching the internet for SYNONYMS.
Each Trait/Character must START with the letter of that word.
Example: P = patience. A = Authoritative...

Brainstorm a list of 5 or more TRAITS/CHARACTERISTICS that you think ALL people should have BEFORE they become parents. Next to EACH TRAIT, tell me WHY it's a MUST a parents have to have this when raising a child.

Using slide #10 you were to create a CHART of 4 squares and fill it in with NOTES from your book and the videos. These are the FOUR types of observation records people use when observing children.
Your assignment is to show a PHOTO of the chart that you created with your notes inside.

You will need to take a PHOTO of your HANDWRITTEN VOCAB sections 1.1, 1.2 & 1.3 and UPLOAD it for CREDIT!

Look at page 15, choose ONE and research them.
You will be creating a ONE SLIDE presentation that includes:

Name of Theorist/ birth-death years/photo of them
Where they were from (country/time in history)
What was their contribution to learning about children
A Link to a website DIFFERENT than the given one
2 things you learned about them that are helpful to your understanding of children now.

Think of a game you played as a child with an older sibling/adult. Answer your responses in FULL SENTENCES with Q & A included.
1) What was it called?
2) What do you remember about the rules or playing it?
3) How might the game had a positive impact on your life by meeting your physical and social needs?
