Description

OBJECTIVE:  This class is structured to emphasize all four aspects of language learning: reading, writing, speaking, listening and understanding with heavy emphasis on meaningful communication.  This course is the equivalent of a second-year college course. Therefore, this class will be conducted by the teacher 80% of the time in Spanish.

Era un día bonito y hacía mucho calor.  Nosotros decidimos ir juntos al centro comercial.  Íbamos Matilde, Jorge y yo.  Llegamos al centro comercial y estaba lleno de gente.  Fuimos a la tienda Macy’s para comprar regalos navideños.  Después de un rato, llegó una señora con una falda larga y un niño pequeño.  De repente, los vimos vistiéndose con la ropa de la tienda.  Ellos se fueron muy contentos sin pagar.  Con un gesto exagerado, la cajera nos dijo que nosotros habíamos ayudado a la mujer.  Ella le llamó a la policía y no podíamos creer lo que estaba pasando. Tuvimos que esperar hasta que revisaron las cámaras.  Al momento nada era cómico, teníamos mucho miedo. Al final, nos reímos y le contamos a nuestras familias lo que pasó. ¡Por un momento fuimos unos criminales!
