Check on the right side of this page.CLASS CONTENTThe subject matter of the Beginning Theatre class is diverse in order to expose students to a variety of theatrical forms such as children’s theatre, pantomime, scenes, and monologue work. The class will also cover some theatre history, play analysis and technical theatre.The class is:Project Based – students will read, write, discuss, and perform or present a project in every unit.Group Oriented – a majority of the units are designed for pairs or small groups.Service Oriented – students will participate in class created projects/performances for both DRAMA-THONs on September and January .The final project in the class is the Theatre Showcase on May . All students will be a part of the production as an actor and a technician.Dramathon and Theatre Showcase are the only after school required activities for the class.OPTIONAL ACTIVITIESStudents may participate in the following activities after school for extra credit and to acquire CAR hours:Fall and Spring PlaysComedy SportzDrama ClubThe amount of extra credit and process to receive it depends on the student’s choice of how to be involved. A list of dates for these activities is available from the department.

Write a perfect paragraph covering the strategies and /or rehearsal techniques you want to use to improve your children's theatre performance outcomes (grades).
- Follow perfect paragraph format
- Typed assignments receive extra credit
- Assignment will be used for Monday's classwork, so those not completing the assignment will also not be able to complete the classwork and lose those points as well.
