You will make google slides and a poster; make both the slides and posters decorative and aesthetic. On the poster put your groups' assigned topic as a title (It is either Roderick, The Narrator, Madeline, Symbolism or Ambiguity), illustrate your character(s) and/or literary device, the setting or any images from the story, perhaps some language from the story, and a few concise insights. Minimal language, BIG FONT SIZE. Use up all of the poster - try not to leave any dead space. I would like to decorate the room with them, so make them look as good as possible. For the google slides, use an effective slide style, and find some online pictures (video clips if applicable) to accentuate your presentation. Put everyone's name on the first slide and your group's topic. Analyze your topic in depth, use literary terminology, and come up with an overall theme/meaning about your topic. Do NOT put every single word that you are going to say on your slides. The words on your slides can be concise, brief, LARGE FONT, and to the point. When you present, you will elaborate on the words on your slides; you can use flash cards, your phone, or a tablet, but also try to know and memorize what you will say. Also, choose 3-5 relevant passages from the story that support and connect to your analysis (discuss and analyze them, not just read them, during your presentation). You can attach audio to your slides (such as with screencastify) if you want and know how to do so, but that is not a requirement. One thing you will do is post these slides to the stream of the Google Classroom so that your classmates have access to them for review and study purposes. Delegate different responsibilities to members of the group (illustrators, speakers, writers/editors, slide designers, etc.), but be sure to come together to make sure it is all synchronized. Everyone should speak about something (the poster or a passage or about a slide, etc.) during the presentation. Share your slides with me, and again, put them on the google classroom stream, so that I can put them on the screen for you to present to everyone else. Also, on a separate google document put all of your groups' thoughts and analysis - copy and paste them to one google document (including your elaboration, but not your passages), and submit this document to turnitin.com so that I know your analysis is original. Only one of you in the group needs to submit this, and it should have everyone's words. All together, your presentation, including followup questions and answers, may take about 20-30 minutes.
