About RHS
Rowland High School opened its doors for the first time in 1964. We are a California Distinguished School, a Gold Ribbon School, and a National Blue Ribbon School.
Academics
We offer IB (International Baccalaureate), AP (Advanced Placement), and AVID (Achievement via Individual Determination) for college bound students.
Students
Students are our first focus. Our mission is to provide a safe and orderly environment that will enable all students to reach their fullest academic and personal potential.

SAT/ACT

Do Colleges Require the SAT or ACT?

No!!

UCs and Cal States do not require the SAT/ACT anymore and neither test is used for admissions. See the screenshots below from the UC and Cal State admissions webpages.

If you’ve already taken one of these exams and have a score you’d like to submit, you may do so, but it is not required.

Private Colleges and Universities

Most private colleges do not require the SAT/ACT anymore.

You need to check the admission requirements of each and every private college to which you are applying to be sure.
