Mrs. Goins' Home

This course is designed for multilingual learners and focuses on the continued oral language development of the four domains (listening, speaking, reading, and writing). English reading comprehension and writing competencies are emphasized around literary themes , culture, and core contents. Grammar, vocabulary, spelling, library, dictionary and research skills, writing, and technology are taught throughout the year in anticipation of entry into college prep courses. The Common Core ELD standards continue to serve as targets with a focus on exposure to the school goals.
