Club Officer Information

Dear Officer Candidate,

Congratulations!!!!!!

You have been nominated for a Theatre Department office.  In order to be eligible to run, you must complete a few steps.

GGet a copy of the constitution from this web page so you may review the steps to be elected into office.

                · You must attend a TDOM (theatre department officer meeting) before elections on March 24th.  It is held from the beginning of lunch and are expected to last until the end of lunch. Do not be late.

                · You must make sure teachers who are writing recommendations for you, turn them in by March 27th .

                · You must be trained by the current officer holding the position(s) you are running for.  Training will be on Friday, March 28th  at lunch.  If you cannot attend, you must schedule your own training time with the officer(s).

                · You must successfully complete a test on the club constitution and turn in a copy of your speech before election day. All candidates must take the test and turn in the speech April 7 at lunch.

¨  I will expect:

o   You know the basics of the constitution: how to become and stay a member, responsibilities of all officers, responsibilities of office(s) you are running for, etc.

o   Remember, you must be trained for office before you will be cleared to run.  Officers will fill out a form you must give me

o   Have the Officer Candidate Speech Form completed or a printed copy of your speech with you.  Be prepared to show me your speech which incorporates information from the Officer Candidate worksheet.

                · Elections are scheduled  for the Theatre General Meeting on April 10th  and you must be present to give your speech.

Thank you so much for your desire to work for the good of the RHS Theatre Department.  It is your dedication and enthusiasm that turns dreams into reality.
