About RHS
Rowland High School opened its doors for the first time in 1964. We are a California Distinguished School, a Gold Ribbon School, and a National Blue Ribbon School.
Academics
We offer IB (International Baccalaureate), AP (Advanced Placement), and AVID (Achievement via Individual Determination) for college bound students.
Students
Students are our first focus. Our mission is to provide a safe and orderly environment that will enable all students to reach their fullest academic and personal potential.

Course Description

Hello RHS students. If you are reading this is because you will probably be taking geometry with Mrs. Ortiz. Just to give you a heads up this are the topics we will cover, include the language of geometry (points, lines, planes and angles), reasoning and proofs (paragraph, two column, flow, indirect, and coordinate), parallel and perpendicular lines, congruent triangles, applications of congruent triangles, quadrilaterals, similarity, right triangles and trigonometry, circles, polygons and area, surface area and volume, coordinate geometry, and transformations.
