Good morning.  Like we talked about on Friday, this is a crazy time and we will work our best to get through it.  As we start the next two weeks before Spring Break, you and I will be learning how to learn remotely.  I will be doing my best to make this process as easy as possible, but I will need your help along the way.  Remember, I am not the “I Gotcha” teacher, but as we progress down this road, we will have to set up some expectations along the way.  And, as life in the world is constantly changing right now and I we become more familiar with ‘Remote Learning’, our expectations will probably change as well.  I am very lucky to teach the subjects that I teach because I am awarded with the best students.  I know that we get through this new experience as best as we all can.

 

First things first, I will continue to communicate and use the platforms that you are already used to using for my class.  These may include Aeries, Big Ideas (for Alg 2), my school website, email….  I have been instructed to start familiarizing myself with Google Classroom and Zoom.  I believe that I have already added you all to a classroom, so check to see that I did it correctly.  Zoom is an online Face Chatting app that I am just learning about, so stay tuned, but please start checking it out (use your Google account).

 

Monday’s Task for All Classes:

Get into our Google Classroom and post/upload something.  Preferably, the assignment that was supposed to be due today, but if not, do something so I can see how this works.  In addition, check in with your classmates and have them communicate either with me or Mr. Brunyer if they have technology and/or connectivity issues.  Chromebooks will be available for check out and Hot Spots are being created.  Help everyone out.
