How was your Spring Break?

Essential Question: Do we determine our own destinies? What have you learned about destiny by reading Act I of The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet?

Write at least 6 text-based, open-ended questions for a Socratic Seminar on a separate sheet of paper. Groups of 4.

Make your own copies and turn in individually

Work together and turn in your own copies. Video is on Savaas Realize if you need to watch it again. 

Video has some analysis from professors at the beginning and end. You may fast forward and only watch the actual documentary from minute 14:00-51:00

Work with a partner to identify rhetorical devices in I Have a Dream. Complete the chart on the attached google doc in class and for HW. Work together but everyone turn in their own copy by Friday Night. 

Small Group Work. You may use Of Mice and Men, your own research (people you know, online, etc), and some of the texts in your book to support your answer.

Everyone create their own copy and turn in by Friday. 

This is due Sunday. You'll have a few extra days to work on it.

Take a picture and upload it by Friday at midnight. 

Use all the attachments to guide you into typing a Rough Draft into the Scoring Activity on MyPerspectives. Submit multiple drafts and edit multiple times on My Perspectives. When you have a score you're comfortable with, open the Google Doc titled Report, type your Final Draft before the end of the Final, and submit

We will be working in groups to create a presentation on the following topic. 

Read The Most Dangerous Game on Saavas and answer the attached Google Doc questions.

Read Unbroken in class and answer the Study Guide Questions as a group.  This is a two-day assignment, so we will finish in class Friday.

Please answer the questions on the theme of Life of Pi after going over the Theme Google Slides Presentation. 

Finish the introductory activities by Friday and turn in on Saavas. Click turn in on Classroom when you are finished. 

View the question of the day by selecting the Slides presentation and viewing today's day of the week. Open the google Journal Week 1 Google Doc and add your entry.


Entries should be about a paragraph (5 sentences) long.  Entries for the entire week will be due on Friday night of the same week.
