Calling all alumni! You are invited to attend Rowland High School’s Annual Alumni Hall of Fame Ceremony. The event takes place on Friday, October 22, at 5:30 p.m. in the Rowland High School library. Afterwards, everyone is invited to attend the Homecoming Game and cheer us on as we demolish Diamond Bar. Glen Kaskela, Educator (Class of 1966)
After graduating from Rowland High School, Glen attended Cal Poly Pomona where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree. He was drafted into the Army after graduating from college and he served in Viet Nam where he received a Bronze Star. He then attended Azusa Pacific and got a Masters in education. He spent thirty-five years at Paramount High School as a teacher and coach, serving as the Physical Education Department Chairperson from 2004 until he retired in 2010.
 
Nancy L. Aandahl, Educator – Athletic Director: (Class of 1973)
Nancy began her teaching career in 1979 at Bishop Amant High School teaching math and physical education. After two years she moved to Baldwin Park Unified School District where she taught at Jones Junior High and Sierra Vista High before finding a home at Baldwin Park High School where she has been for the last 25 years. During that time she has served as a math teacher and Athletic Director and has coached varsity softball, basketball, volleyball, badminton, and tennis. Nancy also taught math at Mt. San Antonio Community College for over eleven years.
 
Christy Castillo Butcher – Vice President Events & Booking: (Class of 1987)
Christy spent a year as an Affiliate Marketing Coordinator with Comedy Central and a year as a promotions manager for the NBA Store in New York before returning to California to help open the formerly named Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim, now Honda Center, as a Marketing Intern, then Assistant Box Office Manager, and later Event Manager. In 1999 Christy became the Event Manager at the STAPLES Center and was promoted to Director of Event Services in 2002 and promoted again in 2005 Vice President of Booking and Event Services STAPLES Center & NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE In her current role she plays a critical role in booking and managing some of the most successful events at STAPLES Center, including the 2000 Democratic National Convention, the GRAMMY Awards, X Games, NHL and NBA All Star Games, and over 90 sold-out concerts including Paul McCartney, The Eagles, Eric Clapton, Jay Z, John Mayer and multiple performances of U2, Madonna, Barbra Streisand, Taylor Swift, Bon Jovi and Black Eyed Peas among others.
