College Board Opportunity Scholars Program 
Eligibility:  Open to the Class of 2020. Students can sign up for the program starting in December 2018.

Alexander Hamilton Scholars 

Eligibility: All applicants should, be juniors in high school, be high-achieving and service-focused, possess grit and perseverance, have demonstrated need, be college-bound, be committed to participating in our rigorous five-year curriculum, be able to attend New York Leader Week July 13-18, 2019.
Award: $500

Future Contractors Scholarship NEW
Eligibility:  Applicant must be current high school senior interested in pursuing a career as a contractor.  Essay contest is open to all citizens and residents of the US.  Must apply online, finalist must provide proof of current or future enrollment and photo of themselves. 

Award:  $750

California State PTA Scholarship 

Eligibility:  Graduating senior in good academic standing who is also an active member of PTA. Two scholarships available: Volunteer Service Scholarship and the Dr. Ralph E. White Graduating Senior Scholarship. 

Award:  $750 and $500

Elks National Foundation Legacy Award 

Eligibility:  Applicants must be child or grandchild of an Elks member, must be a high school senior, must be applying to an accredited college or University, and must take the SAT or ACT by December 31, 2018.

Award:  $4,000

Asia Pacific Fund Scholarship NEW

Eligibility:  Applicant must be enrolled as a full-full time student at an accredited 4-year college or university in the Fall of 2019, must be Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity as defined by the US census, first in immediate family to attend college, minimum 2.8 GPA, have financial need, and be a resident of California. 

Award:  $2,500 - $5,000

Banatao Family Filipino American Education Fund NEW

Eligibility:  Applicant must be incoming freshman enrolled full-time at an accredited four-year college or university in 2019-2020, minimum 3.0 GPA, must be majoring in engineering, mathematics, computer science, environmental or physical science, must be Filipino heritage (at least 50%), demonstrate financial need, and be a resident of California.

Award:  $5,000 yearly ($20,000 total)

Shui Kuen and Allen Chin Scholarship NEW

Eligibility:  Incoming freshman or current, full-time undergraduate at a 2-year community college or 4-year college/university in 2019-20, self or parent currently  or formerly employed at an Asian-owned  or Asian cuisine restaurant, community service advocate geared toward the Asian community, immigrants, gay and lesbian and/or other progressive cause, minimum 3.0 GPA, demonstrate financial need, open to every ethnicity.

The Dream U.S. Scholarship 2019 NEW

Eligibility: We think of our National Scholarship as the “Pell Grant” for highly motivated DREAMers with significant, unmet financial need. While we consider your GPA and test scores, we place great emphasis on your demonstrated commitment to community service and your ability to overcome the barriers and challenges that DREAMers face each and every day.

Award: Up to a maximum of $14,500 for an associate’s degree and $29,000 for a bachelor’s degree. Please note, some Scholars may be eligible for an additional stipend of up to $4,000 (or $1,000 per year) for books, supplies, and transportation.

2019 Tzu Chi Foundation Scholarship NEW

Eligibility: US High school senior who demonstrates financial need. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, plan to enroll full time in an accredited U.S. college full time. Applicants must complete the application materials including letters of recommendation, essay, as well as tax documents. 

Award: $1,000

Eclipse Scholarship NEW

Eligibility: Applicant must be of African-American/Black descent, have a minimum 2.0 GPA, submit a 1-2 page essay discussing personal background, college and career goals, include a challenge you have faced or overcome, and why you deserve the scholarship, submit a faculty recommendation discussing character, motivation, intellect and leadership, submit a letter of acceptance to a 4-year college or university.

Award: $ 1,000

Eligibility:  United States citizen and direct blood descendant of a Taiwanese citizen. High school senior or 1st year college student residing in the United States.  FIDM National Scholarship Competition 

Eligibility:  Students applying must plan to pursue a degree in one of the following Major programs: Apparel Industry Management, Beauty Marketing and Product Development, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Merchandising and Marketing, Merchandise Product Development, Social Media, and Visual Communications. 

Award:  Eight full one-year scholarship worth $31,500 each will be awarded

Hispanic Scholarship Fund 2019

Eligibility: Current high school senior, must be of Hispanic heritage, minimum 3.0 GPA, Plan to enroll full time in an accredited college or university for Fall 2019, U.S. Citizen, Permanent Legal Resident, DACA or Eligible Non-Citizen (as defined by FAFSA), and completed the FAFSA.

Rowland High PTSA Scholarship 2019 NEW

Eligibility: High School senior who has been at Rowland HS for at least three years, plans to continue their education next year (Community College, 4-year university, Trade School etc.), Must have a 2.5 or above cumulative GPA, must be a member of PTSA prior to the month of December of senior year and be involved in campus/community activities.

Gold Medal Portfolio Award 

Eligibility:  Current graduating high school seniors. Candidate must submit a portfolio of eight distinct art or written works that exemplify originality, technical skill and personal voice in order to be considered for this award. Art portfolios must communicate a single cohesive idea or visual investigation, and written portfolios must demonstrate versatility and diversity in writing technique and style.
