Makeup Work and Extra Credit
Students who need to make up missed points can watch RHS performances and evaluate them for extra credit. Students can also watch RHS Comedy Sportz matches, watch and review outside productions, and read a play.  The criteria for receiving extra credit is in the Extra Credit Assignments document attached below.
There are also 3 documents at the bottom of this page that provide students with makeup work (those who entered the class after the first week of school with no transfer grade) and extra credit.  These opportunities are in depth and time consuming assignments for students who need to acquire 200 or more points and is different from the Extra Credit Assignments document that lists shorter, less time consuming point recovery alternatives.
The assignments to choose from are:
Graphic Novel - only drawings communicate information
Comic Book - drawings & word bubbles communicate information
Research Paper - communicate information primarily through words
Only one of these assignment may be done each semester.  Students must have teacher permission to choose multiple assignments and, if permission is granted, must be on different topics.

Use of Electronic Equipment
The content of the theatre courses may require students to access information/material through classroom computers, laptops, cell phones, etc.   Students may be given permission on a daily basis to use personal electronic devises in class but must adhere to the Policy for Use of Electronic Equipment which is posted in a document file on this page.
Students who choose Arts and Communications as their graduation career pathway and complete 4 prescribed courses in their field as well as senior seminar will receive SPECIAL DISTRICT CERTIFICATION and instruction in:
   -Resume and Portfolio development
   -Networking and Self-promotion skills
   -Project research and development
Every student in the program also is placed in an internship in their field and has the opportunity to practice their skill in a professional environment.
