Course Description

This is the third course in Rowland High School's English honors series, and it builds on the skills taught in the two prior classes. Language A: Literature is a two-year, International Baccalaureate English class that emphasizes critical reading and interpretive writing. Students will also be required to plan and deliver formal and informal oral presentations. Works of core literature include: The Tragedy of Macbeth, Miss Julie, Blood Wedding, The Sound of Waves, The House of the Spirits, and Teaching a Stone to Talk. Additional works of shorter length are also studied.
 
I use Turnitin.com for some essays completed at home.The first letter in the enrollment key is capitalized.
