1. Read and annotate your "Virtual Stalin Documents" copy using the highlighter and comment tools - As a group, share ONE document to annotate
2. Complete the powerpoint by sourcing, summarizing, and analyzing 10 brief documents to answer the question "What made Stalin an effective leader and what made him a terrible leader?" - As a group, share ONE powerpoint and only write on your own slides

For analysis, make sure you address the essential question. A sentence frame to help is, "This quote shows that Stalin is a ________ (effective or terrible) leader because..." You may also analyze the significance of sourcing information in the analysis box since there is not room in the sourcing box.

"Lenin Establishes the Cheka" is an opportunity for us to examine the decisions of Lenin and his leadership style based on his own words and actions. As you do this assignment, be sure to do the following:
