Send this ONE of these forms per group and reference your group # on the sign up sheet.
Construct an experiment to test the psychological theory
How to design an experiment? For Example if you want to see if people are more obedient or less obedient nowadays in comparison to Milgram’s shock experiments… (NO YOU CANT SHOCK ANYONE) but you may create a scenario where either a friend or an adult ask the subject to say something negative about someone to see if they WOULD be obedient…. results could be similar to Milgram or… do we see something completely different?
1. What are your variables meaning: What will you measure in order to test out your topic question and idea?
Ex: If you were trying to see if peanut butter and jelly sandwiches have a connection to better GPA you may want to measure the GPA of your chosen demographics. Then the experiment may just be to survey subjects last test scores in a specific class and then asking if they love or hate peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
Dependent variable = GPA's
Independent variable = PBJ (Having it and not having it)
2. Next, create an hypothesis for your group - What do you believe the outcome of your data collection will
Hypothesis: What will the findings show in your measurements?

Ex. Hypothesis - PBJ will see an improvement in high GPAs
Hypothesis - Violent games do demonstrate more aggressive behavior in teens

Explain the steps of your data collection:
Consider theses ideas in your design.
What are your demographics and how will you randomly assign participants?
Will you be giving a survey or having subjects perform a task?
Will you need to deceive subjects to get an accurate collection of data?
How can we limit the amount of confounding variables?
