Write your non-fiction narrative using the events from your gathering details assignment and keeping the storyteller quality of Music fo My Mother.

Pick up novel from school December 7 - 11.
We will be open Monday and Friday 8-3 and Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 8-5.

Mark as done when completed.

Find one example for each of the following items:
Place - describe the location (don’t just say “the grocery store” - spend time describing it)
Actions - what are a few of the steps that occurred in the event
Descriptive words and phrases - take your list of people, location, and actions and ad adjectives and adverbs to them, especially how people look and speak
Precise language - give descriptions of how people behaved
Sensory details - (smell, sight, taste, touch, & hearing) add phrases and words that appeal to the senses

Complete the Worksheet for your narrative

Listen to group members' prewriting and TAG them.

Submit written evidence of TAGs for each group member.

Complete the sections on the top of page 53 , specifically : "Choose an Event to Explore" and "Structure the Sequence."

Remember not to write in the book but to use a Google doc or a separate sheet of paper.

Create a list of 3 ideas you are considering for your nonfiction narrative.
2-3 sentences about each idea is sufficient.

1. Read the performance task on page 52 - "Write an Nonfiction Narrative"
2. Create a checklist of the things that should be done when writing an effective nonfiction narrative.
3. Make sure to include important elements in the paragraphs on page 52 as well as the bullet points.

You can use the checklist template provided. It has been set up to make a copy when you open it.

1. Complete final draft of essay
2. Color code text for each participant
3. Give me a key for the color coding
4. Alphabetically submit. Person with the last name nearest the top of the alphabet submit the essay.
4a. Submitter, please include the names of all group members on the submitted doc.
5. All other last Names hit turn in button and put name of the submitter in the comments.
6. When complete, group invites me into breakout room

Each group is writing their 5 paragrph essay to answer the prompt:

After writing the essay:
-1 group member submits.
-All other group members turn in a google doc with the name of the group member who submitted the doc.

As a group, complete the essay outline.

Each participant should contribute to the outline in their own distinct text color.

The recorder anf facilitator for each group will get the link to the "Get to Know Your Group" document from Mrs. D.
The facilitator should share the link with the group.

Have the group’s Recorder complete the table and turn it in.

Write a quick summary about what you remember of your partner's summary of the other article.

You have 50 minutes to complete 31 questions.

Complete slides # 4 & 5 of the attached slideshow. You may use your My Perspectives text (pages 6 & 8) and internet research to help you. Remember that your responses need to be in your own words, not cut & paste from an internet source.

Review the slides presentation about the perfect paragraph and concentrate on the lides about topic sentences.

In your original groups, read each topic sentence your group created.
Rewrite any sentence that needs fixing.
Highlight the rewritten sentece in yellow.

Copy your original paragraph into the doc.
Rewrite the paragraph into a perfect paragraph using the information from the slides and what you learned from practicing with your artners in class.

Create an actual or virtual background for your workspace that is a collage of at least 4 pictures that are representative of you.

Ins ert a picture or make a copy and post it in the doc. Then write a paragraph explaining each image's relevance in your life.
-Use paragraph structure with a topic sentence and supporting sentences.
-Use your best grammar and spelling.
