Prompt
The parent-child relationship is a motif that is portrayed in every major text studied this year. Consider the four texts: Night, The Joy Luck Club, To Kill a Mockingbird, and The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet. Discuss the value of obedience in a child’s relationship with their parents.


Requirements
Structured 5 paragraph essay with introduction, body paragraphs and conclusion
Each body paragraph should center around a different text and provide specific evidence and commentary that supports a claim, as specified in the thesis statement
Note: ALL THREE BODY PARAGRAPHS NEED TO SUPPORT THE SAME CLAIM
You must use Romeo and Juliet as one text of evidence, the other two are your choice
You do not have to include quotes from the texts, but your evidence from any of the stories should reference specific parts of the text, not general plot summary
MLA format with proper headings, titling, spacing, margins, and standard font
Proper mechanics, grammar, and spelling, with minimal errors
You must type on the doc that is provided
