Ronald McDonald House Charities U.S. Scholarship Program

Eligibility: Graduating Seniors who are exemplary role models in their communities.

Edison Scholars Program 

Eligibility: Applicants must be a high school senior, have at least a cumulative 3.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need. Applicants must plan to be a full-time undergraduate student majoring in one of the following STEM fields: mathematics, engineering, computer and information services, management information systems, natural resources and conservation and physical sciences.

Award: $40,000 scholarship (paid over 4 years)

California State PTA Volunteer Service Scholarship NEW

Eligibility: Applicants must be PTA members who are graduating seniors planning to attend a college/university in the Fall of 2017 and have a strong volunteer service record in schools and/or the community.

Award: $750

California State PTA Dr. Ralph E. White Graduating Senior Scholarship NEW

Eligibility: Students who apply for the California State PTA Volunteer Service Scholarship are also eligible to be awarded this scholarship if they intend to pursue a career in the medical field.

Award: $500

Deadline: Must apply for the Volunteer Service Scholarship by February 1, 2017.

2017 Drive2Life Scholastic Contest 

Eligibility: Students who are in grades 6-12 who create a Public Service Announcement (PSA) to help prevent distracted walking. 

Award: One grand prize winner will receive $1,000 and a trip to New York City to work with an Emmy-winning director to turn their vision into a 30-second PSA.  The winner will also be featured on Teen Kids News. Runner ups will receive a $500 award.

Asian Pacific Fund Scholarship Programs

Eligibility: Incoming or current college students of any ethnic background. Students must plan to be enrolled full time in Fall 2017, have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident unless otherwise stated. 

Award: $500 to $20,000

Parentinn Cyber bullying Prevention for Teens Scholarship NEW

Eligibility: Rowland High School graduating senior planning on attending a college or university in the Fall 2017. Applicants must write an essay between 600-1,000 words on the topic of : "Why is it important to stop cyber bullying?" 

Award: $1,000

Italian Catholic Federation (I.C.F.) Scholarship

Eligibility: Student must be have a total cumulative GPA (3.5 years) of at least 3.2 AND are 1) Roman Catholic and of Italian Descent and live within the Roman Catholic Dioceses of Arizona, California, Illinois or Nevada, only where Branches of the Federation are established OR 2) if either Roman Catholic parent, guardian, or grandparent is a member of the Italian Catholic Federation, the student must be Roman Catholic but need not be of Italian Descent- membership of a Roman Catholic parent,guardian or grandparent is mandatory for #2.

UC Davis Young Scholars Program

Eligibility: Current 10th and 11th grade students interested in doing original research in biology and the natural sciences at UC Davis. 

Award: Admission to the summer program where students will have the opportunity to work alongside professors to conduct original research in the sciences fields. Room and board fees do apply but financial aid is available.

California Association of Winegrape Growers Foundation Scholarship 

Eligibility: The CAWG Foundation is offering at least six scholarships to high school seniors who plan on attending either a UC, CSU or California Community College. Only children whose parent(s) or legal guardian(s) are employees of a California wine grape grower are eligible to apply.

Award:  $500-$2,000

California Association of Collectors Educational Scholarship Foundation (CACESF)

Eligibility: Any 11th grade or 12th grade student who  are legal California residents and will be attending any accredited public or private college, university, or trade school within 12 months of the scholarship award. Students must submit an original essay on the following topic: The importance of establishing and maintaining good financial credit during your college years. 

Award: $1,500-$2,500
