Summer School

Summer school rosters are below. Current RHS students are listed by their 5-digit number and current 8th graders are listed by their 10-digit RUSD number (which can be found on your progress reports).

On the rosters, if you have a Period 1 class it starts at 7:30am, and if you have a Period 4 class it starts at 10:13am.

On the rosters, Aventa classes are called Intervention (Intervention English and Intervention Math are not Aventa though).

Current RHS students: bring your ID with you for checking out textbooks.

If a student wishes to purchase food or drinks, our snackateria will be open.

Please call us if you have any questions or if you need to drop summer school: 626-965-3448 x3300 or x3216.

See you on Monday, June 6th.

Summer School 2016

Summer School will be from June 6th-July 8th. Summer school is 5 days a week for 5 weeks.

Bell Schedule
Periods 1-3 go from 7:30am-10:03am.
Periods 4-6 go from 10:13am-12:46pm.

Class Rosters
Rosters will be available some time in mid-May so please check back.

Lottery System
We always have more students sign up for summer school than we have space for so students will be selected by a random lottery system to make it fair for everyone.

Classes we hope to offer:
Algebra 1
Algebra 2
Art
Aventa
Computer Applications
Earth Science
English Language Development (ELD)
English
English Support
Geometry
Government/Economics
Health
Math Support
Skills for Success
Spanish 2
US History
World History

We want to stress that signing up for Summer School is a request and that we can't guarantee that students will receive a summer school class because they requested it. We always have more students request Summer School than we have space for.

Summer School Grades

During summer school, Homelink is not setup so that parents can see their child’s grade, neither do we mail home progress reports or report cards. We apologize for this inconvenience.

So how do you know what grade your child earned in summer school? Your child’s teacher will give each student a grade card on the last day of summer school, and students are expected to bring this grade card home to you. In August, summer school grades will be posted to your child’s transcript for you to view through Homelink.

In the meantime, please call the school if you have any questions: 626-965-3448.
