About RHS
Rowland High School opened its doors for the first time in 1964. We are a California Distinguished School, a Gold Ribbon School, and a National Blue Ribbon School.
Academics
We offer IB (International Baccalaureate), AP (Advanced Placement), and AVID (Achievement via Individual Determination) for college bound students.

Free College Class Offered at RHS Next School Year

Next school year we will be offering a free college class on the RHS campus through Mt. SAC on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm during the first semester. The course is Sociology and is transferable meeting a UC/CSU general education requirement. There will be an informational meeting on June 21st at 6:00 pm in the Alvarado Intermediate School cafeteria with Mt. SAC representatives to go through the course and enrollment process. It is strongly advised that you to be in attendance to learn more about this fantastic opportunity to earn college credit while attending high school. Please note that enrollment in this course will be limited.
